Located on the French coast of the Mediterranean Sea, The Riviera has been the inspiration for many well-known artists such as Picasso and Matisse. We will experience Nice Carnival. The colours, the entertainment, the amazing floats & confetti, Nice Carnival has it all. The carnival theme for 2025 is Kings of the Seas and Oceans. We

visit Menton lemon Festival with their amazing colourful citrus floats together with bands and street dancers from all across the world. We will be staying at a very elegant hotel in Nice, with a Rooftop pool with iconic views, located a few steps away from the Promenade des anglais, the beautiful beaches with its crystal-clear water and the city’s old town.

Day 1

We depart from our home area and make our way to Dover for our short sea ferry crossing to Calais. We continue through France making suitable comfort stops along the way at arrive at our overnight hotel., Hotel Kyriad Dijon Est with time to settle in before our evening meal.

Day 2

After breakfast we continue through France travelling via Macon, Lyon, Valence, Orange, Provence to Nice making suitable comfort stops. We arrive in time to freshen up before our evening meal. After dinner why not take a stroll along the Promenade de Anglais or visit the Rooftop terrace and see the sun set over the amazing Mediterranean Sea.

Day 3

Today, after a leisurely breakfast, we depart our hotel at 10am and take the coastal road through Antibes to Cannes. We spend the rest of the day here. Cannes is renowned for its beautiful architecture, great restaurants specializing in fresh seafood, beaches and because of the Mediterranean climate, it's blessed with warm, sunny days almost all year round. Take a stroll along La Croisette, a bustling boulevard lined with cafes and shops. We return to our hotel with time to freshen up before our evening meal.

Day 4

This morning, we head to the Eze, a medieval hilltop village for our guided tour of Eze perfumery. Discover each step in the process from the extraction from a flower to a production of perfume. Take in the unique olfactory experience and explore the alchemy and secrets of the Art of Perfumery. Afterwards we visit Biot, an arts and crafts village and known as the Glassblowing Capital of the Côte d' Take a stroll through the shady streets, let yourself be led to a discovery of its heritage, visit the Sainte Marie-Madeleine church, a listed Historic Monument. The village has over 50 artists and a host of jewellers, glass blowers, ceramicists, leather workers and painters. Take a seat on the café and restaurant terraces for a tasty lunch before we return to our hotel.

Day 5

Morning free in Nice. In the afternoon we walk along the Promenade (approx. 10 minutes) to the entrance of the Nice Carnival. We will have plenty of time to take our tribune seat at the Carnival. The Carnival attracts dancers and musicians from all over the world, bringing this authentic and magical event to life. And what would Nice Carnival be like without its traditional flower parade floats! Don't forget to bring your cameras. We return to our hotel for a relaxing afternoon where we can sit by the pool on the roof terrace and enjoy a pre-dinner drink.

Day 6

Today we head to Menton which hosts the fabulous Lemon Festival. Experience the sights and smells of this unique event. See the Golden Fruit Parade with entertainers, brass bands and folk groups heel, spin, and dance between the magnificent citrus fruit floats. The Bioves Garden is a beautiful garden in Menton, set on the path of Carei and is 800m long. Throughout the year the lawns are full of flowers and exotic trees. As it's the Lemon Festival, the garden will be dressed to suit the occasion. Return to our hotel for our evening meal.

Day 7

After breakfast we check out of our hotel and retrace our outward journey making suitable comfort stops staying overnight at the Hotel Kyriad Dijon East. Time to purchase a pre-dinner drink before your evening meal.

Day 8

After breakfast we continue through France to Calis for our return short sea ferry crossing to Dover, making suitable comfort stops along the way.
