1. Can I pay a deposit on a Day Trip?

You can pay a £25pp deposit on most day trips costing over £40pp, with the balance due 6 weeks before departure. On some trips (usually Theatre trips) we may require a higher deposit and/or balance paid earlier than 6 weeks. Please enquire when making your booking.

2. Is there a group discount?

Our day trips are perfect for groups of 20 or more. We offer one FREE place in every 20. We can also arrange one pick up (if required) of your choosing for the whole group (minimum of 20 passengers).

3. How will I know if a certain Day Trip is suitable to my ability?

Throughout our Day Trip brochure we offer a guide to the level of walking on your Day Trip with a Traffic Light System.
Green = It's up to you on these trips how much or little you are able to do.
Amber = Moderate walking and/or steps involved.
Red = Strenuous walking involved.
Please bear in mind that our traffic light system is only a guide. If you have any specific requirements, please notify us when booking.

5. Can the itinerary change on my Day Trip?

The itineraries advertised are subject to change. Day Trips are booked some time in advance and sometimes it is necessary to change the order to allow for any changes to venue's schedule (for example: train timetables, museum opening time, event dates etc).

6. What if I need to cancel my Day Trip?

Please contact us or your Travel Agent immediately if you need to cancel your Day Trip. We we can only refund if the coach capacity is full and we have re-sold your seat(s). However, there will be an administration charge of £2 per seat.

7. Do I keep the seat I booked for the duration of the Day Trip?

Yes, you keep the seat you booked throughout your Day Trip. The seat number given to you at the time of booking will be allocated to your name on our booking system and this seat number will be designated to you. We reserve the right to notify passengers travelling alone before the departure of the holiday of a change to their seat, this would only happen if the coach reaches full capacity.

8. Can I bring my wheelchair or mobility scooter on a Day Trip?

Please let us know if you would like to bring a fold up wheelchair, walker or small fold up scooter on holiday. We need to know this at the time of booking to make sure we can fit them in the luggage hold. Our coaches do not have the facilities of a lift for wheelchair users, but they do have air suspension which will make it easier for you to step on/off the coach. Some venues may not be able to allow certain mobilioty aids, please check this at the time of booking.

9. What are the facilities onboard a Kirbys coach?

All our coaches are equipped with a toilet, air-conditioning, refrigerator and ride on air suspension to ensure a comfortable journey. Seats partially recline and have arm & adjustable foot rests. We advise that the toilet is for use in an emergency because our drivers will provide comfort stops for long journeys.

10. Do I receive a discount if I am a National Trust/RHS Member?

We have tried, where possible, to advertise if there is a discount on a day trip including entrance to these properties. You must bring your proof of membership on the day trip or else full payment will be charged. Discounts do not apply if there is a special event ticket included.
