We’ll feel the pulse of Delhi as we weave through its bustling bazaars on a traditional rickshaw ride, immersing ourselves in the energy of the capital. Together, we’ll stand in awe before the magnificent Taj Mahal in Agra, one of the world’s most iconic landmarks, and uncover the breathtaking Chand Baori Stepwell, a hidden architectural marvel that will leave us spellbound. In Jaipur, we’ll embark on a thrilling Jeep ride to the spectacular Amber Fort, where ancient grandeur meets stunning views.

 

Venture into the untamed wilderness of Ranthambore National Park, where the wild beauty of India’s nature unfolds before us. Setting off on two exhilarating game drives in open-topped safari vehicles, we’ll have the chance to encounter the majestic Bengal tiger in its natural habitat—a truly rare and awe-inspiring experience.

As our adventure draws to a close, we’ll indulge in a night at a luxurious hilltop fort hotel, stepping back in time to live like royalty in the heart of Rajasthan. Together, we’ll relive the golden age of the maharajas, enjoying world-class hospitality surrounded by stunning landscapes and centuries of history.

Day 1

Overnight flight from London to Delhi
We depart from our home area and make our way to London Heathrow for an evening flight to enchanting India (approximately 8.5 hours). Karen will assist us with check-in. As our flight is overnight, we can relax and look forward to the fascinating experiences that await.

Day 2

Arrival in Delhi
After touching down in Delhi this morning, we transfer to our luxurious five-star hotel. There's time to unwind with the hotel's on-site spa and outdoor pool offering perfect opportunities to relax. This evening, we gather for dinner and get acquainted. Delhi, a vibrant metropolis blending ancient and modern, offers exploration for those interested-the nearby ruins of a 14th-century Tughlaq fortress and the remarkable Lotus Temple are just a short distance from the hotel.

Day 3

Exploring Delhi
Today, we delve into the wonders of Old and New Delhi. Our morning begins with a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi's Chandni Chowk bazaars, followed by visits to the 17th-century Jama Masjid Mosque, the Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat, and views of the iconic Red Fort. After lunch, we explore New Delhi's colonial grandeur, including the Kartavya Path, India Gate, and Rashtrapati Bhavan. We also visit the opulent Humayun's Tomb and the Gandhi Smriti Museum, where we learn about Mahatma Gandhi's life. We return to our hotel for dinner.

Day 4

The Iconic Taj Mahal in Agra
We board the Gatimaan Express to Agra, where we visit the breathtaking Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and symbol of eternal love. After a guided tour, we check into our hotel and relax before visiting Agra Fort, home to the exquisite Musamman Burj and Moti Masjid. Dinner is served at the hotel.

Day 5

Chand Baori Stepwell and Ranthambore
After breakfast, we journey into Rajasthan, stopping at Abhaneri to marvel at the Chand Baori Stepwell. This 8th-century architectural wonder features interlinked steps descending 13 storeys. After lunch, we continue to our hotel near Ranthambore National Park, where dinner awaits.

Day 6

Ranthambore Safari
Following a leisurely breakfast, we meet a naturalist to learn about the park's incredible wildlife. After lunch, we embark on an open-topped safari in search of Bengal tigers, leopards, and more. Dinner at the hotel provides a chance to share our safari stories.

Day 7

Jaipur: The Pink City
We enjoy an early safari before breakfast, with another chance to spot tigers. After a relaxed morning, we travel to Jaipur, where we settle into our hotel and enjoy dinner. The Pink City, famed for its hospitality, offers a charming introduction to Rajasthan's capital.

Day 8

Amber Fort and Jaipur's Highlights
Our day begins with a Jeep ride to Amber Fort, a stunning 17th-century palace. After exploring, we visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar Observatory, and the intricate Palace of the Winds. Dinner at the hotel caps a day of discovery.

Day 9

Tijara's Hilltop Fort
We journey to Tijara for a stay in a restored 19th-century hilltop fort. With hanging gardens, a lotus pond, and sweeping views, a perfect place to relax. Options include pottery classes, afternoon tea, or simply unwinding before dinner and a cultural dance show.

Day 10

Return Home
After a picnic breakfast, we return to Delhi for our flight home. Reflecting on our adventures-from the vibrant bazaars of Delhi to the serene beauty of the Taj Mahal and the wilderness of Ranthambore-we bid farewell to India, taking with us unforgettable memories.
