Burghley House & Stamford
This palatial Elizabethan prodigy house is still a much-loved family home and you can see for yourself when you explore its historic collection of paintings, ceramics and works of art, many of which still stand where they were first recorded in 1688. After your introductory tour with refreshments, you'll have some time to wander Burghley House and explore the estate at your own pace. In the afternoon, visit Stamford for some free time. Magnificent Georgian architecture, niche shopping, beautiful riverside meadows and prestige local food make a visit to Stamford a must!
PLEASE NOTE: The State Rooms and Orangery are on the first floor and accessible by chair lifts. These lifts do not take a wheelchair and you will need to transfer onto and off the lift. Burghley House now operate a cashless system on-site, including the café and shops.
