Embark on an unforgettable coach holiday based in the scenic town of St. Anton, exploring the cultural and natural wonders of the Austrian and Bavarian Alps. This tour offers a perfect blend of picturesque landscapes, historic villages, and vibrant city life. Don’t forget to bring your camera!

Day 1

We depart home area and make our way to Folkestone for our Eurotunnel crossing. We continue through France via Reims, Champagne country, making a suitable comfort stop and arrive at our hotel, Novotel Saint Avold, late afternoon. Time to freshen up before our evening meal.

Day 2

After breakfast we continue through France and Germany and into Austria making suitable comfort stops and arrive at our hotel where we will be greeted by a welcome drink upon arrival. Time to relax before our evening meal.

Day 3

Today we have a day in St Anton, there is plenty to see and do, take a ride on a cable car (price included) to enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. There are many shops to explore in the village. This afternoon we are treated to afternoon tea with apple strudel at the hotel. Opportunity to make use the hotel leisure facilities this afternoon before our evening meal.

Day 4

Today we visit the Tyrolean capital city of Innsbruck, surrounded by the jagged rock spires of the Nordkette mountain range. We could choose to enjoy a horse and carriage ride through the streets of the old town to discover some of the most important sights, including the Hofgarten, the ornate 15th century Golden Roof designed as a royal box for the Emperor, the Column of Saint Anne and the Triumphal Arch (extra cost). There are many shops to browse and eateries. Why not try Austria’s famous cake, Sacher-Torte, a delicious chocolate cake.

Day 5

After breakfast, enjoy a full day excursion travelling over the Fern pass, a mountain pass in the Tyrolean Alps, and visit the delightful village of Oberammergau, home to the famous passionplay held here every 10 years. The village is adorned with beautiful frescoes known as Lüftlmalerei, which decorate the facades of many buildings. These intricate paintings often depict biblical scenes, fairy tales or local traditions. The village has a long standing tradition of woodcarving. There are many charming craft shops offering unique handmade items. We have time free time here to explore and have lunch before returning to our hotel.

Day 6

Today we join our coach for an unforgettable journey over one of the most beautiful Alpine passes, the Silvretta Pass, which travels round more than 30 hairpin bends. We ascend the Silvretta Reservoir from where we can view Piz Buin, the highest mountain Vorarlberg. The scenery will be one of the delights of our holiday.

Day 7

After breakfast, we say a sad farewell to St. Anton and make our way back to our same overnight hotel making suitable comfort stops.

After a leisurely breakfast we make our way through France stopping enroute for lunch to be obtained before our return Eurotunnel crossing and continuing to home area.
