The Glorious Gower & Tenby

Day 1

Depart home area and head to our hotel in Llanelli making suitable comfort stops on route. Upon arrival we enjoy a cup of tea/ coffee whilst our luggage is taken to our rooms. Time to freshen up before our evening meal.

Day 2

Today we enjoy a full day in Tenby, known for its warm atmosphere and Victorian houses. Experience the friendly harbour, relax, and unwind on one of the three fantastic beaches or simply sit and watch the world go by. For the more adventurous, why not take a 20-minute boat journey to Caldey Island (extra cost), owned, and run by a community of Cistercian Monks, subject to weather permitting of course. There is an array of delightful shops to browse and restaurants, pubs, and tea rooms to obtain lunch.

Day 3

We start our day visiting the National Botanic Garden of Wales, nestled in the Tywi Valley, the garden combines themed displays, rolling parkland and secluded woodland. The award-winning Great Glasshouse is home to a profusion of rare, fragrant, exotic, and spooky plants. There is a restaurant to obtain lunch and refreshments. Afterwards we visit Carmarthen, one of Wales’s oldest towns before returning to our hotel.

Day 4

Today we admire the beauty of the Gower Peninsula and the Mumbles, an area renowned for its sandy beaches. Visit the Gower Heritage Centre in a converted water mill where a guide will join the coach for a tour of the peninsula’s highlights before returning for an included cream tea or Welsh Cawl (soup/broth) and tour of the mill. This afternoon we have time at leisure in Swansea. Take in the sweeping waterfront of Swansea Bay leading to the Mumbles, known for its stunning beaches. Explore the Maritime Quarter or browse the many shops, there are plenty of cades and tea rooms to obtain refreshments.

Day 5

We depart our hotel and return to home area stopping in the picturesque town of Marlborough.
