We make our way to London Heathrow for our overnight flight to Johannesburg. (Flight time: approx. 11 hours). Settle in and begin dreaming of the incredible experiences ahead.
Day 2
Arrival in Johannesburg - History & Heritage in South Africa's Vibrant Heart
Arriving in Johannesburg, we'll dive straight into the country's rich and complex history. Begin with a visit to the Apartheid Museum, a powerful, moving, and immersive experience that takes you through the turbulent years of apartheid and the triumph of the country's first democratic elections. This deeply educational exhibition will leave us both humbled and inspired.
Afterwards, we enjoy a free afternoon to explore Johannesburg at our own pace - perhaps visit a local market, sample the city's vibrant culinary scene, or take in the urban culture.
Day 3
Panorama Route to Kruger National Park - Breathtaking Views on the Road to the Wild
This morning, we begin our journey through South Africa's stunning Highveld region as we drive along the Panorama Route. Our route takes us past magnificent landscapes, including the awe-inspiring Blyde River Canyon, one of the world's largest canyons, with its dramatic cliffs and lush vegetation. Capture unforgettable photos at scenic viewpoints as we follow the canyon's rim. We reach our destination for the next three nights: a beautiful lodge nestled in a lush forest along the Sabie River, just on the edge of Kruger National Park. Enjoy a relaxing evening with dinner included.
Day 4
Kruger Game Drive - Safari Adventure in Kruger National Park
Today is all about the thrill of the game drive! Venture into the iconic Kruger National Park on a full-day guided safari in specially designed 4x4 vehicles. With expert rangers leading the way, you'll explore this vast wilderness, encountering the famous "Big Five" - lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinoceros. From the thrill of spotting wildlife to the exhilarating sights and sounds of the African dawn, this is an experience like no other. Enjoy lunch out in the bush and return to our lodge for a relaxing evening.
Day 5
Leisure Day at Kruger - Discover the Magic of Kruger at Your Own Pace
Today, enjoy a day of leisure in the heart of Kruger. Relax by the pool or take in the sights and sounds of the riverfront, keeping an eye out for wildlife such as hippos. For those seeking a more adventurous experience, opt for river rafting (weather permitting), or enjoy a sunset safari or night safari by 4x4 - a unique opportunity to spot nocturnal creatures. For a truly memorable experience, consider spending the night at a luxury tented camp in Kruger, where you can enjoy "glamping" under the stars, including a bushwalk, sundowners, and a traditional campfire dinner. Day 6
Eswatini & Kwazulu Natal - Scenic Drive through Eswatini and Zululand
We bid farewell to Kruger and head south towards the Kingdom of Eswatini, a small yet stunning country known for its mountainous landscapes and rich cultural heritage. We pass the charming Mbabane and travel through lush hills before crossing into South Africa's Kwazulu Natal province. Enjoy the scenic beauty of this region as we head towards our next exciting destination: the historic battlefields of Zululand.
Day 7
Isandlwana & Rorke's Drift - Step Back in Time at the Zulu Battlefields
Today, we visit the sites of two of the most dramatic battles in history: Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift, where British forces faced the might of the Zulu warriors in 1879. Experience the intensity of these battles through stories brought to life by a specialist guide.
At Isandlwana, we stand on the site of the British defeat, while at Rorke's Drift, we reflect on the heroic stand of just 140 British soldiers against thousands of Zulu warriors.
Lunch is included, and in the afternoon, we return to our hotel for a restful evening.

Flight to George - Mossel Bay - Coastal Charm of the Garden Route
After breakfast, we fly from Johannesburg to George, in the stunning Western Cape. From here, a short drive brings us to the coastal town of Mossel Bay, where you can unwind by the beach or explore this charming town.

Knysna & Featherbed Nature Reserve - Explore Nature's Beauty in Knysna
This morning, we head to Knysna, a picturesque town along the famous Garden Route. We take a scenic ferry ride across the lagoon to Featherbed Nature Reserve, where we embark on a guided tour by 4x4, stopping at magnificent viewpoints. Learn about the local flora, fauna, and history from our expert guide. After a delightful lunch in the reserve, we'll have free time to explore Knysna's art galleries, shops, and the famous Knysna Quays marina.

Scenic Drive to Hermanus - Whale Watching in Hermanus
Today, we travel through the scenic Winelands region on our way to Hermanus, one of the best places in the world for onshore whale watching (seasonal). Relax on the beach and watch these majestic creatures swim and play in the waters off the coast.

Winelands Tour - Indulge in the Flavours of the Cape Winelands
Experience the Cape Winelands region today, with its lush vineyards set against the backdrop of majestic mountains. Our first stop is Stellenbosch, a charming town filled with Cape Dutch architecture and vibrant cafés. We explore the town before visiting the renowned Neethlingshof Wine Estate for a fascinating cellar tour and tasting session. Next, we visit Franschhoek, a town renowned for its French heritage and award-winning restaurants. This evening, enjoy a traditional South African BBQ or Cape Malay buffet dinner at our hotel.

We head to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, nestled at the foot of Table Mountain. These beautifully landscaped gardens showcase South Africa's rich flora and are a must-see for nature lovers. Afterwards, we arrive in Cape Town, where we'll have free time to explore this vibrant city at our own pace. Stay at the Southern Sun Waterfront hotel, with three nights in the heart of Cape Town, just a short walk from the iconic V&A Waterfront.

Cape of Good Hope & Boulders Beach - Explore the Legendary Cape Point & Penguins
Today, we visit Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Marvel at the stunning seascapes, visit the dramatic point where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet, and take in the panoramic views. Next, we visit Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African penguins. Watch these charming creatures as they waddle along the shore and swim in the surf.

Free Day in Cape Town - Explore Cape Town Your Way
Spend a day discovering Cape Town's many attractions. Take a cable car to the summit of Table Mountain for breathtaking views, or visit Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years (entries extra). We could also explore the V&A Waterfront, shop for souvenirs, or simply relax at one of the city's renowned cafés.
