Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

An experience like no other, this show, at the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade, brings together the best of British Military with international performances from a global cast. Presenting emotionally charged entertainment, cutting edge lighting, sound and miliary precision.

Day 1

We depart home area and make suitable comfort stops and arrive at our hotel early evening. Time to relax and maybe enjoy a pre-dinner dinner drink before our evening meal.

Day 2

After breakfast, we head to the heart of Scotland and visit one of Scotland’s most beautiful places to visit, Pitlochry. The charming Victorian architecture adds to its appeal, with wellpreserved buildings lining the main street, housing shops, cafes and restaurants. Time to purchase lunch here before our afternoon visit to the Blair Athol Distillery for a guided tour and tasting, one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, producing the famous Bell’s blended whisky. Afterwards we visit Queens View offering breathtaking views over Loch Tummel and the surrounding Highland landscape. On a clear day the distant peaks of Glencoe can be seen.

Day 3

This morning, after breakfast, there is opportunity to use the hotel’s leisure facilities or enjoy a morning of relaxation before a light lunch. Afterwards we visit the impressive world-famous Kelpies, the largest equine sculpture in the world, for a guided tour. Time to obtain refreshments in the Visitor café before we continue to Edinburgh with time to purchase an evening meal before our 9pm performance of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo with fireworks. An exciting evening awaits us.

Day 4

After a late breakfast we depart for Glamis Castle, renowned for being Scotland’s most beautiful castle and the childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. We then take a leisurely drive to Aberdeen, known as the ‘Granite City’. Union Street, known as the ‘Granite Mile’, is the main shopping thoroughfare, lined with a variety of shops and restaurants. Aberdeen is located along a stunning coastline offering beautiful beaches. The choice is ours today, as we can be dropped near the shops or the shopping district. Aberdeen is where most people have won the lottery!

After breakfast return to home area making suitable comfort stops along the way.

THE LANDMARK HOTEL, DUNDEE ****

This fabulous 4 star mansion comprises the original Victorian mansion house with modern extension containing the bedrooms and public areas. The stunning conservatory restaurant has beautiful views over the hotel’s gardens. Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Please note: the hotel does not have a lift, however, offers plenty of ground floor rooms, please enquire.
