Day 1

We travel north with suitable comfort stops along the way, arriving at our welcoming hotel in time to relax before dinner.

Day 2

Step into the magic of Alnwick Castle & Gardens, famed as ‘Hogwarts’ in the Harry Potter films. Explore the magnificent state rooms, the fascinating Poison Garden, and the spectacular water cascade with opportunity to purchase lunch in one of the charming cafés.

Enjoy a visit to the coastal village of Seahouses and a boat trip to view the Grey Seals of the Farne Islands*, before crossing to the serene Holy Island of Lindisfarne, steeped in history and accessible only at low tide.

Explore Cragside House & Gardens, the remarkable Victorian home powered by hydroelectricity, surrounded by woodland walks, rock gardens and tranquil lakeside views.
