Murder Mystery Evening at The Old Swan in Harrogate, the perfect venue with it's links to Agatha Christie, offering a fun, immersive, and interactive experience, combining great food, live performance, and the chance to become part of a thrilling whodunit, this event is perfect for anyone seeking an evening of entertainment, suspense, and a little bit of detective work. Harrogate is a picturesque spa town nestled in the heart of North Yorkshire, an enchanting blend of elegance, natural beauty, and rich history, making it the perfect destination for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

Day 1

We depart home area and after making a suitable morning refreshment stop, we continue to Newark for lunch to be obtained. Newark is surrounded by beautiful Georgian and Victorian buildings and streets full of independent shops, cafes and pubs. Afterwards we continue to our hotel and arrive in time to relax before our evening meal.

Day 2

Today spend a day at leisure in Harrogate. Explore the charming streets lined with independent boutiques. Enjoy refreshments in the Edwardian setting at the famous Betty's Tea Room or try out one of the many eateries Harrogate has to offer. In the afternoon we enjoy an included cream tea in the hotel's elegant Victorian Dining room with time to relax afterwards before our evening Murder Mystery event begins, a fully immersive experience where we are invited to become part of the story. The event typically features professional actors who perform a whodunit-style drama, with guests playing the role of detectives or suspects. The actors interact with the audience, allowing guests to question characters, gather clues, and piece together the mystery as the story unfolds whilst creating a lively and engaging atmosphere where everyone gets involved in solving the crime.

Day 3

After breakfast we visit York, one of the UK's most historic cities. Walk along the city walls, visit the magnificent York Minster (one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in Northern Europe), or explore the Jorvik Viking Centre for a journey back in time to the Viking Age. The city's medieval streets, including the famous Shambles, are also full of charming shops and cafes. (Please note entries are extra).

Day 4

We depart our hotel and visit delightful Stamford, where many period dramas have been filmed, before returning to home area.

THE OLD SWAN HOTEL ****

Enter the Old Swan Hotel through its revolving doors, it is an elegant, ivy covered Victorian hotel with a traditional elegance. The hotel is surrounded by pretty lawns and gardens with history dating back nearly 200 years, including being the tranquil haven that Agatha Christie mysteriously disappeared in 1926. The hotel has a bar/lounge area and a beautiful restaurant. All bedrooms are ensuite and tastefully furnished with tea/coffee making facilities, TV and Wi-Fi.
