Few hotels can command such breath-taking views as the Royal Victoria Snowdonia Hotel, nestling between the twin lakes of Padarn and Peris, at the foot of Snowdon. The welcome here is warm and genuine and the atmosphere is of complete relaxation. The restaurant enjoys lovely views and the public bars are a great place to meet before our evening meal. The hotel does have a lift, but it does not up go to all floors. The single bedded rooms at this hotel are cosy with small standard sized beds.

Ride Britain's Only Public Rack Railway

The Snowdon Mountain Railway has been carrying passengers up Wales' highest mountain since 1896. It remains the only public rack-and-pinion railway in the United Kingdom, climbing almost 3,000 feet through the spectacular landscapes of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. On a clear day, the views stretch across North Wales, Anglesey and, occasionally, even Ireland.
