Day 1
We depart home area and our short ferry crossing to Calais, continue to Le Touquet, athis chic seaside resort is home to many elegant cafes and patisseries, perfect for enjoying a leisurely lunch.
DDay 2
After breakfast, to Deauville, often referred to as the “queen of the Normandy beaches,” a glamorous resort town on the Côte Fleurie. Renowned for long sandy beaches, grand hotels, and prestigious events, a favourite destination for the French elite and international visitors since the 19th century. The famous boardwalk, built in the 1920s, is perfect for a leisurely stroll. We continue to pretty Honfleur, at the estuary of the Seine River. One of Normandy’s most beautiful and well-preserved towns, cobbled streets, halftimbered houses, and bustling marina, scenic landscapes and unique light have inspired countless artists, a haven for art lovers and romantics. The town is filled with charming restaurants, cafes, and bistros. We end the day with a tour and tasting of ciders, calvados, and locally produced cheese at a Calvados distillery.
B, DDay 3
Today we have a full day guided tour of the D-Day beaches, exploring some of the sites where the Allied forces launched their invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, during World War II. Our guide will take us to Omaha Beach, one of the most heavily fortified beaches where American forces faced fierce resistance, Juno Beach, where Canadian forces landed and Arromanches, where the Allies constructed the temporary Mulberry Harbour to facilitate the landing of troops and supplies. Visit the Arromanches 360 Circular Cinema for a panoramic film about the D-Day landings. (Entry extra).
B, DDay 4
We depart our hotel and head to Le Tréport, a delightful blend of natural beauty, maritime charm and rich history. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the cliffs, savouring fresh seafood at a harbour-side restaurant, or exploring the town’s historic sites. We continue to Calais for our ferry crossing and return to home area.
