Lille Christmas Market Overnight Break
Visit Lille Christmas Market, one of the most beautiful Christmas Markets in France. With a wave of a magic wand, the city takes on the festive atmosphere and welcomes you to a winter wonderland! On Place Rihour you will find more than 60 chalets. You will also find arts and crafts from Poland, Quebec and Native America. The shops in Lille are fabulously festive and there are 4,000 of them situated in this enchanting city of cobbled streets and dazzling architecture!
Day 1
We depart home area and catch our Eurotunnel crossing to France. We head to Lille where we will check into our hotel. Afterwards we have time to discover Lille, there are many shops and restaurants nearby.
Day 2
After breakfast we enjoy more free time in Lille to explore the magical Christmas Markets, approximately a 15 minute walk from our hotel. Visit the Grand Place where Christmas carols fill the air as the 50 metre high Big Wheel turns majestically. At the bottom of the Big Wheel is the reproduction of a snow-covered village. Holiday spirit can be found in all the shops and the streets of the ‘Vieux Lille’. There are plenty of restaurants to purchase lunch before departing and heading to home area.
