Easter in Sandown, Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight makes a great Easter getaway. Enjoy excursions around the island and in the evenings the hotel comes alive with live entertainment in the stylish ballroom.

Day 1

We travel to the Isle of Wight making suitable refreshment stops enroute. We arrive at our hotel with time to relax before our evening meal.

Day 2

After breakfast, we have some free time in the popular seaside resort of Shanklin. We continue to Ryde, known as the ‘gateway to the Island’. This is the largest town on the Isle of Wight and has a prominent position along the seafront, free time here to purchase lunch and explore. We continue to East Cowes, home to the world famous sailing regatta. Take a look around the delightful shops and purchase afternoon tea in one of the tea rooms before returning to our hotel.

Day 3

Visit the pretty village of Godshill with its charming, thatched cottages, medieval church, and tearooms. Afterwards continue along the famous Military Road, to Isle of Wight Pearl, take in the outstanding views across the Atlantic Ocean. Afterwards, we visit the world-famous Needles attraction.

Day 4

Easter Sunday:
After breakfast visit Osborne House; former retreat for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Return to the hotel later this afternoon with free time in Sandown.

Easter Monday:
After breakfast, we depart for home making suitable refreshment stops for lunch to be obtained.

TROUVILLE HOTEL, SANDOWN ***

The 3-star Trouville Hotel has a prominent position overlooking the glorious Sandown Bay. There is a lovely lounge area to relax in or to enjoy a pre-dinner drink before our evening meal. There is superb choice of evening meals served by friendly waiting staff.

There is a lift to all floors, however the lift is small and unable to take mobility scooters.
