The Dolomites is an Italian region bursting with natural beauty and diversity. On this wonderful holiday we experience the very best of Northern Italy with wine tastings, a typical Trentino dinner, grolla evening and of course, the fantastic views and scenic drives! A free bar is also included at the hotel each evening. With stunning scenery, incredible inclusions and hospitality that is second to none, this will make for an unforgettable holiday which will be remembered for years to come.

Day 1

We depart home area and make our way to Dover and the channel by ferry and head to the Mercure Hotel Saarbrücken Süd, Germany, for our overnight stay making suitable comfort stops along
the way.

Day 2

Depart our overnight hotel and travel to Hotel Paganella, Italy, making several comfort stops. The Dolomites in north-eastern Italy are some of the most beautiful mountains on Earth. Upon arrival we will be greeted with a warm welcome by Felsto, the owner of the hotel and his friendly staff. Enjoy a glass of prosecco or a non-alcoholic drink before our evening meal tonight.

Day 3

Today we enjoy a day at leisure. Located on a high plateau above the Rotaliana plain, Fai Della Paganella boasts a rich and turbulent history. The town has preserved its original rural charm. Today we have a guided walk of Fai Della Paganella and a picnic with great company, pizza and wine and get into the relaxed ‘Paganella way of life’ in the mountains.

Day 4

Today we travel to one of Italy’s best kept secrets - stunning Merano! It is known as the ‘city of flowers’ even though it is a classic Italian Alps ski resort. (On route we can be dropped off at the beautiful gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle in Merano, known as Sissi’s Gardens (entry extra), please let your Tour Manager know). Take a stroll around the vibrant town centre. This afternoon, we head to the historic winery of Kettmeir, nestled amongst the vineyards of Alto Adige, where we enjoy a tour and tasting of some top-quality wines - the South Tyrolean wines are so good that they don’t export much of it as they prefer to keep them for themselves! Return to the hotel via Lake Caldaro.

Day 5

Today enjoy a scenic drive of the Dolomites. We drive north towards the picturesque village of Ortisei and relax with a delicious plate of strudel, or perhaps shop for one of the other local specialities - handmade cuckoo clocks! From here we ascend through the alluring Val Gardena, a historic valley known for its wood making traditions and unique and ancient language, Ladin, which is only spoken here, to the ‘Sella Pass’, an incredible viewing platform. Appreciate the amazing 360° views across the Dolomites’ spectacular jagged peaks. It’s just a short drive to get to the vibrant town of Canazei, free time here to obtain lunch and take a stroll. We then return to our hotel, continuing down towards Moena in the heart of the Dolomites, in time for our Grolla evening!

Day 6

Travel via coach to visit Riva Del Garda for a day at leisure. Spend time in the beautiful old piazza surrounded by cafés and bars with lakeside views. Opportunity to take a boat trip on Lake Garda to Limone Sul Garda (extra cost).

Today we return to our overnight hotel in Germany, making suitable comfort stops along the way.

Day 8

After breakfast return to Calais for our Eurotunnel crossing. Arrive back to home area early evening.

This intimate and friendly 3-star family-run hotel is ideally located for touring the surrounding area. Fausto and his family ensure a warm welcome in this typically Austrian chalet style hotel.
