Autumn Tints Tour of the Cotswolds

Including the famous Pudding Club experience!

On this wonderful holiday we stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Stratford Upon Avon. See changing colours across the Cotswold landscape bringing a new look to the countryside during Autumn. Enjoy quieter moments in the pretty villages of Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton in Marsh, and the charming capital of the Cotswolds, ‘Cirencester’. Discover historic Gloucester and visit the award-winning Three Ways Hotel for an evening of fun at the famous Pudding Club where you will be able to sample and judge 7 puddings if you can!

Day 1

We begin our holiday with a visit to Witney, a lovely market town in the Cotswolds. We will have time here to purchase lunch before continuing to our hotel where we have a cup of tea or
coffee on arrival.

Day 2

Today enjoy a coach excursion around the Cotswolds, starting with Moreton in Marsh, located at the head of the beautiful Evenlode Valley, on market day* with several old inns and eateries dating back to the 1600’s. Afterwards, we head towards the delightful market town of Stow-on-the-Wold with time to purchase lunch, opportunity to visit Porch House, reputed to be England’s oldest inn, built in 975AD and still has many of its original features. Our last visit will be Broadway, the most beautiful Cotswold village with time to purchase afternoon refreshments.

Day 3

After breakfast, we cross the Cotswolds to the market town of Tetbury on market day*, it is the second largest town in the Cotswolds, there is also a fantastic array of shops to browse. We continue to Cirencester ‘The Capital of the Cotswolds’ to discover the many historic streets radiating from the town centre, with special shops, individual boutiques, and fascinating antique emporiums and craft shops. We return to hotel with time to relax before our evening meal.

Day 4

We visit Gloucester this morning, the cathedral city of the Cotswolds. Opportunity to visit Gloucester Cathedral to experience the magnificent architecture and discover a Harry Potter filming location. Or visit Gloucester Docks with opportunity to visit the award-winning National Waterways or the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum. There are plenty of shops to browse and eateries to obtain lunch. We return to our hotel with time to relax or to use the hotel leisure facilities before we depart for the Three Ways Hotel for a fun packed evening. Start with a bucks fizz and a jovial introduction by the Pudding Master followed by a light main course and then the Parade of Seven Traditional Puddings. The aim is to taste them all and to vote for our favourite one over coffee. We return to our hotel with certificates in hand

Day 5

After breakfast we travel to Oxford for lunch to be purchased. Step onto the cobbled paths and lanes as we wander through the City of Dreaming Spires. We’ll find a wide variety of cafes and restaurants to whet our appetite before returning to home area.

GLOUCESTER ROBINSWOOD HOTEL, BW SIGNATURE COLLECTION ****

This modern 4-star hotel is located on the edge of the Cotswolds. The hotel does not have a lift but there are 22 rooms on the ground floor. There is a stylish brasserie restaurant and wine bar situated on the ground floor and the hotel’s excellent leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, spa bath, sauna, and steam room.

(Please note, there are some steps to negotiate to access some areas within the hotel).
