Yuletide Elegance in Lancashire

Treat yourself to an unforgettable festive experience where luxury, culture, and seasonal cheer come together in perfect harmony. This special break takes us on a journey through picturesque towns, vibrant cities, and scenic railways, with a focus on exceptional dining and festive experiences.

Day 1

We depart home area and make our way to the historic market town of Newark for our lunch stop. We then continue to our hotel in Lancashire where we will be welcomed with a cup of tea/ coffee whilst our luggage is taken to our room. Time to relax before our evening meal.

Day 2

After breakfast we head to Liverpool to experience the vibrant festive spirit of one of the UK’s most iconic cities! With plenty of time to explore the renowned Liverpool Christmas Market
held in St. George’s Plateau. Wander through the charming wooden stalls, enjoy the twinkling lights, and indulge in seasonal treats like mulled wine, gingerbread, and festive street food. There’s also a wide range of unique gifts and crafts, perfect for Christmas shopping. After soaking up the holiday atmosphere, we can explore Liverpool’s famous landmarks, from the historic Albert Dock to the striking waterfront. We return to our hotel with time to freshen up before our evening meal.

Day 3

Today we spend the morning in Blackburn, opportunity to visit Blackburn Cathedral or wander around the Christmas market located in the town centre, before we depart late morning for the
East Lancashire Railway in Bury, where we will step on board our festive decorated, beautifully restored pullman-style carriage. We will be greeted with a sparking welcome drink and a sumptuous
three course, silver served meal followed by coffee and after dinner chocolate while being steam hauled through the picturesque Irwell Valley. With our own personal waiter/waitress for the afternoon we can relax knowing every aspect of our experience will be catered for to the highest standard. Afterwards we return to our hotel and time to relax before our evening meal.

Day 4

We depart for home area stopping in the beautiful medieval city of Lichfield, with time to browse the many shops or visit the 12th century three-spired Cathedral and to obtain lunch.
