This traditional, family run hotel sits in a tranquil position at the foot of the beautiful town of Uzès. The bedrooms are reached by an undercover walkway that runs alongside the outdoor swimming pool and garden. Day 1
We depart home area and cross the Channel to France, through the rolling landscapes of Champagne to Dijon and our overnight hotel.
DDay 2
After breakfast, we journey south to Mâcon, a charming riverside town on the Saône, known for its colourful façades and historic squares. We continue to Uzès, our base for the next few days.
B, DDay 3
Today we visit the remarkable Pont du Gard, a UNESCO-listed masterpiece of Roman engineering built nearly 2,000 years ago. Rising in three elegant tiers above the Gardon River, it is the tallest surviving Roman aqueduct and a striking testament to ancient ingenuity. We then continue to Nîmes, a city rich in Roman heritage, where grand monuments such as the Arena and elegant gardens reveal its fascinating past.
B, DDat 4
A relaxing day at leisure. Unwind by the hotel pool or explore Uzès, with medieval streets and lively market in the beautiful Place aux Herbes.
B, DDay 5
We travel to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer on the Mediterranean coast. This charming fishing town is steeped in Camargue traditions. Enjoy a boat trip through this unique landscape of wild horses, black bulls and flamingos.
B, DDay 6
We visit Les Baux-de-Provence, dramatically perched on a rocky outcrop, followed by the spectacular Carrières de Lumières. Later, explore Avignon, famed for its medieval walls and the impressive Palais des Papes.
B, DDay 7
We say goodbye to Uzès and return to Dijon, stopping en route in Lyon, situated on the banks of the Rhône and Saône rivers and renowned for its cuisine, before continuing our journey.

After breakfast, we travel to Calais for our return Channel crossing.
