Day 1

We depart home area and travel to Dover for our short sea ferry crossing. We continue through France making a comfort stop and arrive at our hotel early evening.

Days 2 & 3

Free to explore Orléans, wander through the narrow, cobblestone streets of Orléans' old town, discover beautifully preserved half-timbered houses and elegant Renaissance mansions. The Rue de Bourgogne is a bustling street lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants, perfect for a leisurely stroll. The city's historical and architectural heritage is on full display in its stunning buildings and monuments. The Gothic-style Orléans Cathedral (Cathédrale Sainte-Croix) is a masterpiece of architecture, with its soaring spires, intricate stained glass windows, and awe-inspiring interior. Another notable religious site is the Église Saint-Aignan, a beautiful Romanesque church with an impressive crypt. The Loire River is central to Orléans' charm, providing scenic beauty and recreational opportunities. Stroll along the riverbanks, take a boat cruise, or enjoy a picnic in one of the riverside parks. Orléans boasts a rich cultural scene with numerous museums and galleries. The Musée des Beaux-Arts houses an impressive collection of European paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts from the 15th to the 20th centuries. The city's squares are vibrant hubs of activity. Place du Martroi is a central square featuring the iconic statue of Joan of Arc, while Place de la République is known for its lively market and outdoor cafes.
