To Barnstaple, pausing in elegant Marlborough, with its wide high street, historic buildings and independent shops.

Day 2

Discover Clovelly, traffic-free village of cobbled streets, flower-filled cottages and sea views, then to Hartland Quay, where rugged cliffs and crashing Atlantic waves create truly unforgettable scenery.

Visit Ilfracombe, with its pretty harbour, before enjoying the vast sands and sea air at Woolacombe Beach. We enjoy a traditional cream tea at the elegant Saunton Sands Hotel, with spectacular coastal views.

Explore Barnstaple’s historic pannier market, then relax in Bideford with its attractive quay, local shops and peaceful riverside walks.

A highlight of the holiday is the visit to the famous fishing village of Clovelly, one of England’s most unique and picturesque villages. Known for its steep cobbled streets, whitewashed cottages and flower-filled lanes, Clovelly remains traffic-free and full of traditional charm. Stunning sea views and peaceful surroundings make this a truly memorable destination.

Continue to dramatic Hartland Quay, where towering cliffs and powerful Atlantic waves create some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the South West.

Visit the attractive harbour town of Ilfracombe with its pretty marina, independent shops and seaside charm before enjoying the vast golden sands of Woolacombe Beach, regularly recognised as one of Britain’s finest beaches.

Explore the historic market town of Barnstaple, home to the famous Pannier Market, one of the oldest markets in the country. Later, relax in the riverside town of Bideford, known for its attractive quay, independent shops and peaceful atmosphere along the River Torridge.

On the return journey, stop in the cathedral city of Salisbury, famous for its magnificent cathedral, medieval streets and historic charm.
