New Year in Harrogate, Yorkshire

Welcome the New Year in style on this sparkling Yorkshire getaway hosted by Karen Kirby herself! Enjoy a scenic blend of charming market towns, breathtaking countryside, and elegant spa cities — all wrapped in festive cheer. With a grand New Year’s Eve Gala Ball, delightful excursions to Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales, and wonderful company throughout, this is the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of 2026.

Day 1

We depart the home area and travel north, pausing in the historic market town of Newark, known for its charming marketplace and Georgian architecture — perfect for a relaxed lunch stop. We continue to our welcoming hotel, where tea and coffee await on arrival before dinner this evening.

Day 2

New Years Eve
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive through the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales, visiting the picturesque villages of Grassington and Skipton, famed for its bustling market and grand medieval castle. This evening, join Karen Kirby for a sparkling New Year’s Eve Gala Ball, including a drinks reception, dinner, and music as we welcome in 2026 in style.

New Years Day
After a leisurely breakfast, spend the day exploring elegant Harrogate, with its boutique shops and famous Bettys Tea Room, or join an optional excursion to historic York, with its magnificent Minster, medieval Shambles, and lively New Year atmosphere.

After breakfast we depart our hotel, and make a lunch stop in the town of Stamford where many period dramas have been filmed. There are many shops and tea rooms to obtain lunch before
returning to home area.

This excellent 4-star hotel is in the heart of historic Harrogate with wonderful views across the Yorkshire Dales. The hotel offers high levels of service and comfort. All bedrooms are stylish and well equipped. The restaurant is modern, and the bar has pleasant areas in which to relax. The town centre is only a short walk from the hotel.
