Faversham is one of Englands most historic, charming towns nestled between the rural delights of the Kent Downs and the austere beauty of its coastal wetlands. Enjoy the atmosphere of this picturesque market town with nearly 500 listed buildings. Free time here to wander and obtain lunch before continuing to Whitstable. Whitstable is known as the Pearl of Kent and is famous for its oysters. The town itself dates back to before the writing of the Domesday Book and has distinctive character.
Heres our recommendation of what to see and do whilst visiting...
Faversham:
Faversham Market & Town Centre - Explore the heart of the town around Market Place, where youll find a mix of historic buildings, independent shops, and local businesses.
If visiting on market day, enjoy browsing a variety of stalls offering local produce, crafts, and unique finds.
Shepherd Neame Brewery - Discover Britains oldest brewer at Shepherd Neame Brewery, a key part of Favershams history.
Take a guided tour to learn about the brewing process and the companys long heritage, or simply enjoy a drink in one of the nearby traditional pubs.

Whitstable:
Tankerton Slopes & Seafront Walks - Its a peaceful spot to relax, take in the fresh sea air, and enjoy the coastal scenery.
Enjoy a scenic walk along the Tankerton Slopes, a grassy clifftop area offering lovely views across the sea.
At low tide, you can even spot The Street a natural shingle spit stretching out into the water.
Whitstable Castle & Gardens
Visit Whitstable Castle, a charming historic building set within attractive gardens just a short walk from the seafront.
Stroll through the grounds, enjoy the well-kept lawns and flowerbeds, and perhaps stop at the café for a tea or light bite in a relaxed setting.
