Christmas at Beamish & Alnwick Garden Light Trail

Join us on this pre-Christmas break for a truly memorable time. We visit Christmas at Beamish and enjoy the wonder of Christmas through time! Visit Newcastle Christmas Market and enjoy the award-winning Christmas light trail around Alnwick Garden.

Day 1

Depart home area and make our way to County Durham making suitable refreshments enroute. We arrive late in the afternoon at our hotel and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee whilst our luggage is taken to our rooms. Time to relax before our evening meal.

Day 2

After breakfast to Newcastle city centre for shopping and sightseeing, soak up the festive atmosphere whilst browsing stalls at the Christmas market. Everything from gloves to Christmas cakes,
locally brewed beers, beautiful pottery, and gorgeous handmade jewellery. Visit the many shops and eateries to obtain lunch before we depart for magnificent Alnwick Garden. Admire the beautiful
award-winning Winter Light Trail, watch as Alnwick Garden comes to life like you have never seen it before, after dark a fantastic sound and light spectacular. It takes approximately 1 hour to walk the trail.
Opportunity to purchase refreshments before we return to our hotel
for our evening meal.

Day 3

Today we delve into Christmas past with a truly traditional Christmas at Beamish Museum. From Georgian and Edwardian festivities through to 1940s and 1950’s celebrations. Immerse
yourself in the delightful decorations and delicious food to traditional music and Christmas crafts. Catch a glimpse of Father Christmas or Mrs Claus travelling around the museum. There are several eateries to obtain refreshments. Afterwards we return to our hotel.

Day 4

We depart for our home area stopping at Boundary Mills, Sheffield for lunch to be obtained, Boundary Mills have everything under one roof! From Eateries to women’s and men’s wear. From
footwear to fragrances, cookshop and numerous Christmas gifts and decorations.
