Day 1

We travel north to County Durham, making suitable comfort stops along the way. On arrival, settle into our welcoming hotel before enjoying dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 2

After breakfast, we head to the vibrant Newcastle Christmas Market, where the city’s historic Grey Street and Old Eldon Square are filled with the scent of roasted chestnuts and stalls brimming with handmade gifts and local produce. Later, we visit Alnwick Garden’s enchanting Winter Light Trail, where thousands of sparkling lights and illuminated sculptures transform the gardens into a magical winter wonderland.

Day 3

Step back in time at the Beamish Open Air Museum, where Christmas traditions of yesteryear come to life. Explore the 1900s town decked in festive finery, sample traditional treats, and admire the period decorations, crackling fires and costumed characters recreating the magic of Christmas past.

Depart hotel and travel home via Boundary Mills for shoppng and lunch.
