Bournemouth - Dorset
Welcome to the jewel of Britain’s South Coast, Bournemouth with a vibrant and colourful resort with seven miles of award-winning beaches and panoramic coastline as well as a cosmopolitan town centre. Join us on this holiday to discover the largest resort in Dorset, popular since the mid-19th century, where there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Day 1
We travel to Bournemouth, stopping in Winchester for lunch to be purchased. We arrive at the hotel with time to relax before our evening meal.
DDay 2
This morning, we travel to Weymouth known for its pretty harbour and beautiful golden beaches, recognised as one of the top twenty beaches in Europe. In the afternoon we visit the county town, Dorchester, birthplace of the famous author and poet Thomas Hardy. The town enjoys a rich history dating back as far as the Iron Age, there are many delightful shops and tea rooms to purchase afternoon tea.
B, DDay 3
Today, a free morning in Bournemouth, grab an ice cream, walk along the seafront and explore the Pier. The hotel is a short walk to town. In the afternoon visit the quaint coastal town of Poole, home to Europe’s largest natural harbour which attracts thousands of watersports enthusiasts every year. Poole also has a bustling shopping district with plenty of independent shops to browse and cafes.
B, DDay 4
We travel through the New Forest today and visit Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway. Experience the sights and sounds of a working narrow-gauge steam railway by stepping aboard The Rhododendron Line travelling through the Rock Garden, the new Dragonfly Pond and Summer Lane Gardens. Time to enjoy Exbury Gardens, and purchase lunch before returning to our hotel, via Lyndhurst, a delightful village, known as the heart of the New Forest.
B, DDay 5
After breakfast we head to home area, stopping in Salisbury for an early lunch to be purchased and opportunity to look around Salisbury’s famous cathedral and town centre.
