Our base for this autumn break is the popular seaside resort of Bournemouth, renowned for its sandy beaches, attractive gardens and lively seafront. Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore at your own pace, perhaps taking a stroll through the Lower Gardens, browsing the shops, visiting Bournemouth Pier or simply finding a favourite café and watching the world go by.
On our outward journey, we make a stop in Winchester, once the ancient capital of England. This fascinating cathedral city is filled with history, from the magnificent Winchester Cathedral to its medieval streets and historic buildings. There is also a tempting selection of independent shops, cafés and restaurants to discover before we continue to Bournemouth.
During our holiday we visit Dorchester, the historic county town of Dorset. Closely associated with celebrated author Thomas Hardy, the town combines fascinating heritage with independent shops, museums and attractive streets. Enjoy time to explore and discover more about this characterful Dorset town.
One of the highlights of our Bournemouth holiday is a scenic coach tour through the New Forest. Autumn is a wonderful time to visit, when the ancient woodland takes on rich seasonal colours. Look out for the famous free-roaming New Forest ponies as we travel through this beautiful National Park and enjoy its picturesque villages and countryside.
Our journey home includes a visit to Alresford, an attractive Georgian town in Hampshire. Known for its colourful streets, independent shops and famous watercress heritage, Alresford makes a delightful final stop before we continue our journey home.
