Beach & Seafront - iconic shingle beach stretches for miles and is dotted with the town’s famous fishing boats, pulled up onto the shore.

Take a gentle stroll along the seafront, admire the colourful houses, and stop for a portion of award-winning fish and chips — some of the best on the Suffolk coast.
Keep an eye out for the striking Scallop sculpture, created by artist Maggi Hambling in honour of composer Benjamin Britten, who lived and worked in the town.
