We are biased of course; every month is a great month to get away. Although I want to make April stand out this week it does deserve a special mention after all!
The weather is changing, the nights are now getting longer and flowers are blooming (April Shower? Lets debunk that myth).
In this 4-minute read we are going to make the case for why April is such a good month to get away, wherever you have planned to go.
Birds singing, blossom, leaves on the trees and the sun is shining!
Now you might think we are being romantic, but the statistics speak for themselves. Did you know we only have 12 days of rain in April on average in the UK? Or we should say 18 days of dry weather That sounds better! Thats one less day than March.
In 1949 the UK recorded a high temperature of 29.4 Celsius, but we also always have a surprise usually with the weather.
The weather is turning mild, the landscape is changing before our eyes as you travel to your destination. Across counties and borders, you feel like you have a private insight that not many people get to experience especially if you are flying!
The country opens back up
Of course not everything shuts down for winter, but April is usually the month that Houses and Gardens start to welcome visitors back and open their doors for the first time and Events start up.
Imagine walking into your favourite historic house and gardens and being part of the experience of the first person to see the landscaping that year or walk through the halls of a new display or tour for the first time.
Beat the crowds!
We have all experienced crowds in the summer, queues and that can certainly lead to frustration!
April is not often like this, in-bound tourism into the country doesnt really start until June time. So, this really could be the time to explore the country and feel like a VIP.
