COACH HOLIDAY ITINERARY
DAY 1 We depart this morning and head to Chester making suitable comfort stops along the way, including a stop in Coventry
for lunch to be purchased. We arrive at the hotel with time to enjoy a welcome glass of Bucks Fizz before our evening meal.
DAY 2 After breakfast visit Northwich on market day (every Tuesday, correct at time of print). There are many timber-framed
Victorian properties which gives the town character. Look around the market and shops before departing for the Anderton Boat Lift, called sometimes by its nickname ‘Cathedral of Canals’. It is one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Waterways’ and together with its river cruise, visitor centre and café this makes a visit here unmissable. We return to the hotel in time to freshen up before our evening meal.
DAY 3 Today we enjoy a day at leisure in Chester. This ancient city is a truly breath-taking experience; we’ll be walking where the Romans marched to war, Viking raiders wreaked havoc and Norman invaders conquered Anglo Saxons. The 1000-year-old Cathedral is a must see and there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops to explore. There are bus stops right outside the hotel for those who may find the walk too far.
DAY 4 After breakfast we head to Chester Zoo, one of the UK’s number 1 charity zoo. There’s over 21,000 of the world’s most exotic and endangered animals to discover in 125 acres of award-winning gardens. The team here are passionate about connecting visitors to the natural world. Lunch can be purchased in any of the restaurants, cafes and kiosks located throughout the zoo. We have the day to discover this wild world before returning to the hotel with time to relax before our evening meal.
DAY 5 After breakfast we travel back home making suitable comfort stops along the way, including a stop in Melton Mowbray
(famous for its Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese!) for lunch to be purchased.
