COACH HOLIDAY ITINERARY
DAY 1 Travel to Harrogate including a stop in the cathedral city of Lincoln for lunch to be purchased. Arrive at the hotel and get ready for our evening meal.
DAY 2 After breakfast enjoy a train journey aboard the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Pickering for a nostalgic 18-mile journey through the North Yorkshire Moors, to visit the charming village of Whitby. The seaside resort of Whitby boasts a range of quaint shops and pubs just a few minutes’ walk from the station. Afterwards by coach, travel to Eden Camp, housed in the grounds of a World War II prisoner of War camp and the only museum of its type in the world. The story of World War II is created using sights, sounds, smells and moving figures. Return to hotel for our evening meal.
DAY 3 Today we have a day at leisure in Harrogate. From the Cedar Court Hotel, it’ll take approx. 10-munites to walk into town but there are also bus stops just around the corners on each sides of the hotel. Harrogate is known for its eclectic, elegant and diverse range of shops. Art lovers and antique hunters will love the zigzag of cobbled streets in Harrogate’s Montpellier Quarter. There are many cafes and restaurants here for lunch to be purchased, and the town also boasts the celebrated Bettys Café Tea Rooms.
DAY 4 After breakfast visit York for the day. York boasts a wealth of pubs and many museums, all built around well preserved medieval features such as the old city walls, York Minster, Cliffords Tower and The Shambles. Return to the hotel for our evening meal.
DAY 5 After breakfast, return to home area making suitable comfort stops including free time in Stamford, one of the most complete stone towns in England. Some of the streets have been unchanged for centuries and there are over 600 listed limestone buildings. Many period dramas have been filmed here including Middle March and Pride & Prejudice.
