COACH HOLIDAY ITINERARY
DAY 1 Today we travel to Llandudno, the ‘Queen of the Welsh Resorts’, making suitable comfort stops along the way including a stop at Dobbie’s Garden Centre for lunch to be purchased. We arrive at our seafront hotel where we are welcomed with a cup of tea/coffee and homemade scones followed by time to freshen up before our evening meal.
DAY 2 After breakfast we enjoy a journey on board the Great Orme Tramway, Britain’s only cable-hauled public road tramway which has been delighting visitors from near and far since it opened on July 31st 1902. The Tramway climbs a mile (1500m) high up the Great Orme Country Park and Nature Reserve with the unique journey beginning at Victoria Station then climbing to the Halfway Station exhibition, where you can discover the history of the fascinating funicular and view the Victoria engineering. Change trams at the Halfway Station and continue our journey to the Summit where the views are breathtaking. On a clear day, it’s possible to see as far as the Isle of Man, Blackpool and the Lake District! Afterwards we travel along the coastal road to visit the medieval walled market town of Conwy. Time here to purchase lunch and look around this delightful town before returning to the hotel.
DAY 3 Today we have a day at leisure in Llandudno. The hotel is conveniently situated in the centre of the sweeping promenade and is just a 5-minute walk to the pier, shops and sea.
DAY 4 After breakfast we join our driver for an excursion through the Snowdonia National Park, boasting vast areas of natural beauty and unique scenery. It is known as Eryri by Welsh, a name that can be translated as ‘the place of the eagles’. In the morning visit Betws-y-Coed, nestled in the heart of the Conwy valley. Continue to Porthmadog, known locally as ‘Port’. Be impressed by the town’s stunning setting; it is dominated by the mountain called ‘Moel y Gest’ which is 262 metres above the town. Porthmadog is a bustling town full of individual shops and places to eat. We continue our tour around the National Park stopping in Llanberis which is surrounded by mountains, lakes and rivers and lies at the foot of Snowdon. Time to stroll around this lovely town before returning to the hotel.
DAY 5 After breakfast we return to home area stopping in charming Chester for some free time and lunch to be purchased before returning to home area.
