COACH HOLIDAY ITINERARY
This holiday will be fully escorted; there will be a continental breakfast and bucks fizz on the morning of departure, newspapers, unlimited free tea and coffee throughout your outward and return journey and a few more surprises in store for you all...
DAY 1 We travel to Wales making suitable comfort stops along the way, including a stop in Shrewsbury for lunch to be purchased. We arrive at the hotel where we have a cup of tea/coffee on arrival followed by time to freshen up before our evening meal.
DAY 2 After breakfast we join our driver for a lovely journey via Colwyn Bay to the “queen of Welsh resorts”, Llandudno, with its wonderful beaches and lovely wide promenade. This morning we take a ride to the top of the Great Orme on the beautifully restored tramway. From the summit, there are outstanding views across Anglesey and the peaks of Snowdonia. Llandudno is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing day, with its beautiful Victorian architecture and Edwardian elegance, pier and excellent selection of high street stores and attractions. After a day of leisure, we arrive back at the hotel for our evening meal.
DAY 3 After breakfast we take a return ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway for a journey to “the rooftop of Wales” and weather permitting, we will have spectacular views. At 3,560ft, Mount Snowdon is the highest mountain in England and Wales. The Visitor Centre has a gift shop and café and there will be plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and views before we make our descent on board the train. This afternoon, we take a ride on the Llanberis Lake Railway from Gilfach Ddu station, a narrowgauge railway which follows the shores of the lake. We arrive at the hotel in time to freshen up before our evening meal.
DAY 4 After breakfast, travel through the spectacular scenery of the Snowdonia National Park as we make our way to the seaside town of Porthmadog, via the pretty village of Beddgelert to board a train on the Ffestiniog Railway. Sit back and relax as we enjoy the 13.5-mile journey with dramatic views of mountains, lakes and waterfalls around every corner. The track climbs 700ft from sea level as we journey towards the slate quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. We return to our coach and make our way to the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed where we make a short stop before continuing on to the hotel.
DAY 5 After breakfast we head for home area making suitable comfort stops along the way.
